The Queensland Indigenous Languages Workshop, 27 July 2015

The School of Languages and Cultures (UQ) and the Shape program of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language will host a workshop on the Indigenous languages of Queensland at the University of Queensland. The workshop aims to bring together linguists and language practitioners working with Queensland Indigenous languages in order to share current research projects and findings.
The workshop will showcase work-in-progress papers on topics relating to Indigenous languages in Queensland, such as; language description, language contact, socio-linguistics, language maintenance, and the use of technology in language revitalisation.
Featured speakers: Jean-Christophe Verstraete (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) and Alice Gaby (Monash University).
Presentations and question times will be video recorded and made available to CoEDL members via a restricted area of the website, however the presenters will also have the option of making their recordings available to the public via iTunes-U if they choose.
