On the 1 July, Nick Evans gave a talk on 'Explaining linguistic diversity: a coevolutionary approach' as the final presentation in 'The Birth and Decay of Language' hosted by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Munich.
This series explored the evolutionary origins of language as a human phenomenon, but also its loss in the study of various speech disorders.
Other speakers included: Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel, ('Speech Errors: A Window to the Mind'), Marilyn Vihman ('How Children Learn Language') and Josef Rauschecker ('Teh Neural Basis of Language').
