Thursday 4 July 2019, 5:45pm – 10pm.
The conference dinner will be held at the Conservatory Restaurant at the Village Centre in the heart of the National Arboretum Canberra. And yes, it will be Winter, and it will be twilight. But after we travel the short distance from ANU campus to the Arboretum by bus, you will be welcomed into the architecturally stunning Village Centre with a complementary glass of mulled wine and the chance to view The National Bonsai and Penjing Collection. The curator of this collection will be on site to guide visitors around.
The conference dinner will consist of a 3-course meal, the menu for which will be fixed and determined by the availability of seasonal produce. Non-alcoholic beverages will be included in the price of the conference dinner, and there will be a cash bar. Needless to say, if you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know (via the conference registration form) so that we can accommodate you.
“Our restaurant offers contemporary Australian cuisine, with dishes simply prepared with care, to share. Our produce is sourced primarily within Canberra’s 100-mile foodshed to support good farming in our region. Our focus is on organic and biodynamic produce, heirloom meats, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and sustainable sea and fresh water foods. Our desire is to nurture hopes and ideas in an arbour within a national vegetable and herb garden, surrounded by food forests to sustain a city.
