ALW2017 will start at 3:30pm on Friday 3rd March. We ask participants to arrive at Camp Marysville at 3pm on Friday to allow for room allocation and settling in. Dinner on Friday will be served at Camp Marysville after the presentation session. Timely arrival at Camp Marysville requires a departure from Melbourne University at approx. 1pm, and a departure from Melbourne Airport at approx. 12:40pm. The registration page has options for offering/requesting lifts: please let us know as much detail as possible here. We will need to vacate Camp Marysville by 3:30pm Sunday 5th March.

For those people travelling to the airport, there are currently roadworks affecting the Tullamarine Freeway which will affect travel times to and from the airport. Estimations vary but may result in up to 1 hour delay. We recommend that anyone departing Melbourne via Melbourne Airport on Sunday 5th to book their flights for a 7:15pm departure at the earliest

UPDATE: for those travelling to ALW from Canberra, a number of lifts have been offered, departing Canberra on Friday morning. If you would like to take advantage, please note this on your registration form. Those electing to be a passenger for the Canberra drive will be contacted with confirmations asap. If you are offering a lift from Canberra to Melbourne and details change, please get in touch asap.

Location of ALW16

Camp Marysville is approximately a 90 minute drive from Melbourne University and 90mins from Melbourne airport (traffic dependant: in peak hour it can take 2-2.5hrs), north of the Yarra Ranges National Park. A short 2km drive out of the town itself, Camp Marysville boasts both natural bush surrounds and acres of lawn, bordered by the Marysville State Forest and rolling farmland. Accommodation will be in shared cabins, with a maximum of 4-5 people per cabin (generally 2 per room, no bunk beds). Some single-occupant rooms are available (first in best dressed) for an extra cost. Each cabin has a bathroom, central area, 2-3 bedrooms and reverse cycle heating/aircon. Linen is available for hire at $30 for the weekend. Camp Marysville also has self-contained cabins which can be hired by two or four people directly from the venue. Those people not taking advantage of the accommodation via registration with us are asked to register and pay for catering/venue hire for the weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: as this is predominantly a school camp, it is a *nut free zone*. Camp Marysville request that all guests refrain from bringing anything nutty with them over the weekend (this includes your own private nut snack stash!).
