Centre welcomes it's first official visitor: Bruno Olsson
In March we welcomed Bruno Olsson, a PhD student based at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Bruno is working on Marind, a language of West Papua, and gave a paper on one aspect of his research at Southern New Guinea Fest.
A brilliant typologist, he completed an MA at Stockholm University alongside centre affiliate Hedvig Skirgård who is a PhD student on Nick Evans' Wellsprings Project.
Having lost tragically lost both his contact lenses to the merciless waves of Kioloa, we can positively say that Bruno left something of himself behind in Australia. We look forward to seeing him again.
