
Centre Affiliate Darja Hoenigman submits her PhD thesis
Described by Prof Alan Rumsey as among the "rising stars of linguistic anthropology", Darja Hoenigman submitted her PhD "The talk goes many ways: Registers of language and modes of performance in Kanjimei, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea" on the auspicious Friday 13 February at the Australian National University.
She is now commencing a two-year ELDP fellowship researching Meakambut ways of speaking and will be based at the Centre offices in Canberra.
