Registration costs

Information about costs is as follows. A link for registration and payment (using a credit card) will be available at the bottom of the page once registrations are opened. 

Once your registration payment has been received you will be contacted to confirm your course selection.

Registrations will open 3 August and close 19 November.

Registration covers course selection and catering. Students and unwaged attendees have a discounted registration cost. Accommodation costs are available to select as part of your registration and includes breakfast. You will also need to indicate any dietary needs.

CoEDL students and CoEDL postdoctoral fellows should discuss attendance with their CoEDL supervisors.

Registration for social events

That costs for social events are not included as part of your registration payment. You will be asked for your interest in attending these events at a later date and will be provided with the costs then. Payment for social events will be made at the event venue.

This was paid for as part of your registration options. Drinks bar at own cost available on night.

Wednesday 28 November – Linguistics in the Pub

From 6:00 at Fellow Bar & Café, ANUCome by Fellows for a pint and a chat with your fellow Summer Schoolers for a Linguistics in the Pub session.

TOPIC: The future of Linguistics
How do you see linguistics continuing forward as a viable field of study? What does linguistics have to do to change in order to fit a changing world? How can we elevate linguistics in the public consciousness? What shortcomings do linguists have to address in order to stay relevant, and on the cutting edge of research?

Food and drink available at the venue at attendees own cost.

Friday 30 November – Unofficial gathering at BentSpoke Brewing Co.

After the close of the Summer School, several of us will be heading to BentSpoke Brewing Co., about a 25 minute walk from campus. Come join if you’d like! All food/drink at attendees own cost.
